The following is an email I received from my sister Margaret just in time to climb the mountain and get some pictures.
I thought I should let you know about our Quebec City connections. Our great great great grandparents, Richard Brewster (Bruster) and Margaret Power were married in the Anglican Cathedral (Holy Trinity) in Quebec City on December 22, 1832. Richard was from England and was a stevedore.
Our great great grandmother, Mary Ann Brewster, was baptized in the same church in November 1833, having been born on October 21st.
Mary Ann converted to Catholicism at some point and married John Scott in Niagara. They lived in St. Catharines and their daughter Mary Jane married Michael Brennan.
I have our cousin, Trish Crawford (Jim Lahey's sister) to thank for the detective work for the Quebec church records.
